Education

Children from birth through age three are provided a safe and loving environment on Sunday mornings while their parents attend worship and/or Sunday school classes.  The nursery is staffed by one paid professional as well as volunteer servants from the congregation.  Our nursery is also open on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings during the school year, allowing parents to participate in ministry meetings and adult studies during those times.

Newburgh UMC has an amazing lending library located in room G9. We have thousands of books for children, youth and adults. You can find non-fiction and fiction from some of your favorite Christian authors, old and new. We also have studies that you can check out for your small groups and we have DVDs and CDs for your own enjoyment at home. You really have to stop by and see it for yourself.

Daily devotional booklets are provided for Advent and Lent, offering Scripture and prayer to enrich these holy seasons for each individual in our congregation. Sometimes, but not always, these booklets are accompanied by small group discussions.

Several students are considering a commitment to the confirmation journey this year.
Please be in prayer for them as they make this decision.
September will be a time for them to get a taste of confirmation and learn what it is all about.
