Newburgh United Methodist Women

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God
and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to
expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.


Some of the upcoming activities include:

Newburgh UMW Progressive Dinner, September 23
We’ll visit 3 homes for appetizers, main course, and dessert. See page 8 for more details.

Southwest District Fall Gathering, September 25 - 9am-2pm at NUMC

Indiana Conference Annual Event, October 8&9 - Castleton UMC
Intergenerational event with activities for all ages. $15 includes lunch Saturday. Registration forms on
bookshelf in Fellowship Hall hallway, deadline is September 29.

Southwest District Mission Trip, October 30 - Lucille Raines Residence

Don’t miss the chance for hands-on mission at this UMW-sponsored halfway house in Indianapolis.

The Newburgh United Methodist Women participate in and/or plan the following activities:Spring Spiritual Renewal Retreat, the Newburgh U.M.W. Retreat , a Book Discussion Group, the Mother’s Day Banquet, a Progressive Dinner, the Craft Auction, the Thanksgiving Dinner, and a Christmas Tea.
