Sunday School

Sunday School Classes meet on Sunday Morning at 9:30am

Children:
Children as young as three years old are encouraged to make Sunday school part of their weekly church-going routine.  We believe Sunday school is a place where all children should succeed and experience the awesome love of God through the blessed servants who teach them.

Currently, we use Live BIG curriculum in all our children's classrooms.  The lessons are active and engaging and children are encouraged to develop lifelong faith as they experience the Bible stories through all their senses.  Our hope is that children will become so excited and energized by their experience in Sunday school that they will be eager to come each week and will want to bring their friends.

Adult:
Whatever your stage of life and growth in your Christian faith, we have a class for YOU!

Newburgh UMC has a standing commitment to providing a wide range of Adult Sunday school opportunities for all adults.
We currently have eight adult classes addressing a variety of issues in a variety of ways.

Small Groups

Sunday morning worship and Sunday school are great,
but adults need to take time to be in fellowship and really
dig into the Scriptures with one another, encouraging one
another along their faith journeys and holding one another
accountable in their spiritual disciplines.

Small groups consist of 8 to 12 adults who meet twice a month
in homes for study and discussion.  A small group can become
your family at the church.  As a family, we can learn about God's
love for all of us and we can give love and support to others when they need it.

All classes and groups are designed to
• Introduce people to Jesus;
• Build relationships - with God and others;
• Study God’s Word;
• Engage in Christian service.
